Summer 2016 // Oklahoma Trip

This trip to Oklahoma was pretty special. On our usual trips its just me and my Mom and I jam as many photo sessions into the trip as I can. I’m talkin’ two a day type of thing. It’s usually just work. Don’t get me wrong I LOVE my job but this trip was different. I got to bring Colbe for the first time. We drove halfway across the country together. Holding hands, singing in the car, and talking about everything under the sun. We got to Oklahoma and he got to see where I grew up and the place I love. We scheduled NOTHING (okay, other than those two shoots I had to squeeze in because I’m a workaholic) and just had fun.

We went to the Arbuckle Wilderness. 10/10 recommend it. At the Arbuckle Wilderness you drive though a park and get to feed all kinds of wild animals. Feeding the Giraffe was my favorite, even though we didn’t get a picture of it. We explored my favorite old locations around town and we had time to relax. We ate at all my favorite old restaurants too! We may or may not have had Braums every single day… at least once a day. I couldn’t help myself. Colbe loved it too!

Another reason that made this trip so special is my big sister and her husband. They are expecting their first baby! They had been trying for over three years and finally through IVF, our family’s and friends prayers have been answered. They are going to make the most incredible parents. I love you both so much!
