This New Years celebration was something pretty unique! The team was staying in the Sheraton Wild Horse Pass Resort for the week leading up to their bowl game, I was super bummed because that meant a week without my hubby. It would be the first time we’ve spent apart since we’ve married, not to mention it was the week of New Years Eve. I spent the first night at home alone trying not to pout too much and then the next day one of Colbe’s coaches invited me to stay with them at the hotel! I was absolutely thrilled.
I usually make an effort to take at least one New Years Eve photo that will be worthy to post on instagram, but considering the coolest place we got to go to was the “game room” there wasn’t much getting dolled up to that, so here they are yoga pants and all. Happy 2016! Curfew was at 11 PM that night.
Then on January 2nd, it was game time. I took my best friend Brooke along and we sat with the rest of Colbes family. We may have lost but they’re all still winners in my book.
I am so grateful that we are both able to do what we love and that we get to support one another while doing it. I’m grateful for all of Colbe’s hard work and the example of dedication and determination that he sets for me. I seriously think he’s the coolest guy around. Go Devils!
